Wednesday, 3rd October DAY 14
We leave Modimolle at 4am so as to avoid the Gauteng traffic. We time it just right as the cars are beginning to clog up as we slip through. We are soon on the N3 to KZN with a clear road ahead. Dudley has driven so well every meter travelled and the Kms quickly pass by. By Harrismith we have run into a cold front that is forecast to bring rain and snow to KZN. After a breakfast we press on and at 1pm we stop in Pietermaritzburg to drop off Chris at his home. We linger here and over a cup of coffee we reminisce over the marvellous two weeks that we have enjoyed. We all feel very privileged to have experienced what we did.
Dudley and I set out for the last leg of the journey to our homes in Simbithi, Ballito which we reach at about 3pm in rain and cold weather. What a trip.
