Saturday, 18th November DAY 4 predicts a clear still day – perfect for Lake Panic. Renette understandably elects to stay in bed whilst I head off at 4.30am (S42). However, the high cloud thickens and has got it wrong as the morning turns dull and drab.

This crocodile was cruising around with a tracker on its back. It is amazing the amount of scientific research that goes on in Kruger.

This afternoon I go out along the S65 west of Skukuza. I see absolutely nothing so all in all, not the most exciting of days. But tomorrow is a new day.
