Sunday, 5th May
Dear bloggers, I apologise for the sudden break in my daily reports. I had to return home to Ballito rather unexpectedly to tend to a number of matters but returned to Satara this afternoon, Wednesday, 8th May. So tomorrow I should be back in the groove.
A number of you will no doubt be interested in the state of the Siteki Road. The entire length of 38 Km’s has been reworked – broadened and covered with a powdery gravel mixed with stones. The dust clouds from passing lorries and cars are so dense that one is constantly in fear of a head-on collision. Adding to that are trademark unmarked Swazi speed humps that taken at speed leaves one airborne every now and then. Once the road is tarred it should be wonderful but until then I will certainly not attempt it again.
Today I returned via Piet Retief, Machadodorp, Lydenburg, Sabie and finally Orpen. So I am all ready to resume our Kruger saga.

I missed your blogs and wondered why the absence. Hope you managed to sort things out. When you’re finally back in Ballito you may want to do some dolphin photography to keep us enertained!! Ha ha.
